{"id":24,"date":"2011-07-28T09:50:59","date_gmt":"2011-07-28T15:50:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/callawaycountyclerk.com\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2021-09-21T12:36:32","modified_gmt":"2021-09-21T18:36:32","slug":"liquor-license","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/callawaycountyclerk.com\/?page_id=24","title":{"rendered":"Liquor License"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The County Clerk is responsible for the issuance of county liquor licenses.\u00a0 If you have applied for a state liquor license <strong>YOU MUST<\/strong> also apply for a County liquor license.\u00a0 If the business is located in an incorporated area of the County, a license is required within those city limits, also.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>To Obtain a County Liquor License (New Businesses)<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The applicant must first apply and obtain their state liquor license from the <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/atc.dps.mo.gov\/\">State of Missouri Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control. <\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Submit or bring a copy of the state license(s) to the County Clerks Office and the appropriate license fees. License fees for county liquor licenses correspond with the state license fees in addition to a $3.00 filing fee for each license obtained. The forms of payment accepted are cash and check.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Of the license fee to be paid for any such license, the applicant shall pay as many 12ths as there are months (part of a month counted as a month) remaining from the date of the license to the next succeeding July 1<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Clerks Office can not issue a license until you have applied and received your license from the state. However, you are required to obtain a County license as soon as you receive your state confirmation.\u00a0 <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The County Clerks Office will issue the liquor license immediately. If staff is unavailable to process the license, it will be mailed out within three business days.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">County liquor licenses expire annually on June 30th. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Renewals (Current License Holders)<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Our staff monitors the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/atc.dps.mo.gov\/reports\/\">State of Missouri Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control reports<\/a><\/span> website for updates.\u00a0 When we receive notice of renewal through their website, we will send out an invoice to each individual or business with a current county liquor license. If you have not received an invoice from our office, you may call or email for assistance.
