JOB CLASSIFICATIONS

Full-Time Employee
 An employee who successfully completes their introductory or probationary period and who works at least 40 hours per week is considered a full-time employee.  If you work at least 1000 hours per year you will be eligible for certain benefits as approved by Callaway County but will not be eligible for all benefits.

 Part-Time Employee
An employee who works less than 1000 hours annually is considered a part-time employee. Part-time employees are not eligible for benefits described in the Employee Manual.

Regular Employee
Employees hired to work on a regular basis for an indefinite period of time are classified as “regular” employees. Such employees may be either full- or part-time.

Temporary Employee
From time to time, the County may hire seasonal employees for specific periods of time or for the completion of a specific project. An employee hired under these conditions will be considered a temporary employee. The job assignment, work schedule and duration of the position will be determined on an individual basis.  Temporary employees are not eligible for benefits described in the Employee Manual.  

PRN Employee
PRN employees are those employees who work as needed. PRN positions are unclassified.  An employee who is not regularly scheduled to work at least sixty (60) hours per month is considered PRN.
