Board of Equalization

9:00 a.m.

Attending:  Gary Jungermann, Presiding Commissioner; Gabe Craighead, Eastern District Commissioner; Donald Kritzer, Western District Commissioner; Les Hudson, City of Fulton; Joan Berry Morris, Dan Roe, Assessor;  Dawn Bailey; and Dan Werdehausen.

Re:      Taxpayer’s Name:  Daniel E. Werdehausen

            Parcel Number: 24-09.0-31.0-00-000-014.002

            Assessor’s Appraised and Assessed Values:    $201,140.00 / $38,220.00

Dan Werdehausen stated that the property was zoned part residential and part commercial when he bought it for $150,000 from the bank.  He does not run any sort of business from the property.  The Board reviewed documents, maps, and pictures of the property.  Dan stated that the property is now all zoned as residential.  The Board discussed the value of the components of the property and comparables presented by the Assessor.  The Board discussed whether to include value for the pool.

The Board will look at the facts and make a decision after evaluating the information.

 The Board discussed Daniel Werdehausen’s request for a reduced valuation.  The Board discussed the value of the property, information presented in the meeting, and the maps.  Gabe Craighead made a motion to keep the value at $201,140.  Motion seconded by Les Hudson.  All voted in favor.  Motion passed.

 The Board discussed Kingdom Development’s request for a reduced valuation.  They discussed the comparables, rental rates in the area, and other information presented.  Gabe Craighead made a motion to keep the value of the Shaun Nolan & Shane Garrett property at 103 Doris, Auxvasse at $194,110.  Motion seconded by Joan Berry Morris.  All voted in favor.  Motion passed.
