All in favor… ayes have it. Court Order #91 — signed.

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst made a motion to enter into a contract with the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services for the WIC program in the amount of $104,680, effective October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018, and to authorize Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann to sign the contract on behalf of the County.

Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer seconded the motion.

All in favor… ayes have it. Court Order #92 — signed.

Mrs. Lynch then discussed the Health Department’s current WIC budget with the Commission. She informed the Commission that she has not spent the total budgeted amount for the nutritionist because the nutritionist that was contracted to work at the Health Department was out for maternity leave. Mrs. Lynch explained that she can reallocate the WIC funds that was originally budgeted to pay for the nutritionist for other needs related to WIC. The group then discussed various options for the available WIC dollars.

Finally, Mrs. Lynch discussed the Health Department’s budget for the Missouri Foundation for Health grant. This grant is for $20,000. Mrs. Lynch stated that she has purchased four computers, one new monitor, and software for a total of $3,185 out of these funds. She informed the Commission that she would like to purchase a database program and software package for Environmental Public Health; the estimated cost for this is $6,785. Mrs. Lynch also stated that she would like to buy a new copier for the Health Department out of these funds. The estimated cost for a new copier is between $6,000 and $8,000. The group discussed the need for a RFQ for a new copier and potentially for the Environmental Public Health database and software package. Mrs. Lynch said she would work with the IT Department to price these items and prepare a RFQ.
