 The Callaway County Commission met with the Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann, Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst, and Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer present.

 Jail Locks

The Callaway County Commission met to discuss Jail locks and Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Board appointments. Denise Hubbard, County Clerk, was also present for these discussions.

First, the Commission met with Clay Chism, County Sheriff; Robbie Harrison, County Jail Administrator; and Donnie Horstman, County Buildings & Grounds Supervisor, to discuss Jail locks. The Commission had requested two separate quotes for replacing and retrofitting the locks at the Callaway County Jail.

Only one vendor submitted a quote for the replacement of the Jail’s current locks. Sentry Security Fasteners submitted a quote for 60 locks at a rate of $578.30 per lock, which totals $34,698.00.

Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer made a motion to purchase 60 locks from Sentry Security Fasteners in the amount of $34,698.00.

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst seconded the motion. All in favor… ayes have it. Court Order #82 — signed.

Only one vendor submitted a quote for retrofitting the doors at the Jail so that the new locks can be installed. Horstman Welding submitted a quote to retrofit the doors, not to exceed $300 per door. The actual price will depend on the amount of work that will need to be done to each door.

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst made a motion to accept the quote from Horstman Welding relating to all the door work at the Callaway County Jail, with the amount not to exceed $300 per door.

Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer seconded the motion.

 Court Order #82 — Purchase Jail Locks from Sentry Security Fasteners

 Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby accept the quote from Sentry Security Fasteners for 60 locks for the Callaway County Jail in the amount of $578.30 each, which totals $34,698.00.

 Court Order #83 — Purchase Door Work from Horstman Welding

 Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby accept the quote from Horstman Welding for all door work in relation to retrofitting for new door locks at the Callaway County Jail, with the price not to exceed $300 per door.

 IDA Board Appointments

Next, the Commission discussed IDA (Industrial Development Authority) Board appointments. Two of the board positions are due to expire at the end of this month. Both of those board members wish to remain on the board for another six-year term.

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst made a motion to reappoint David Gilman and Mike Boulware to the Industrial Development Authority Board for six-year terms, effective September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2023.

Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer seconded the motion. All in favor… ayes have it. Court Order #84 — signed.

 Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby reappoint David Gilman and Mike Boulware to the Industrial Development Authority Board for six-year terms, effective September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2023.
