The Callaway County Commission met with the Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann, Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst, and Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer present.

 Assessment Contract

The Callaway County Commission met to discuss an Assessment contract and to discuss a Housing Authority agreement. Charlotte Rosenstengel was also present for this meeting to represent the County Clerk’s office.

First, the Commission discussed an Assessment contract between the Callaway County Assessor and the City of Fulton. This is a four-year contract in regards to the Assessor giving the City a complete list of their assessments each year in exchange for $4,000 each year, which goes in the Assessment Fund.

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst made a motion to enter into an assessment contract with the City of Fulton in the amount of $4,000 per year, effective September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2021. Commissioner Kleindienst also moved to authorize Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann and Assessor Jody Paschal to sign the contract on behalf of the County.

Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer seconded the motion.

All in favor… ayes have it. Court Order #78 — signed.

 Court Order #78 — Assessment Contract with City of Fulton

 Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby enter into an Assessment contract with the City of Fulton in the amount of $4,000 per year, effective September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2021. The Callaway County Commission does also hereby authorize Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann and Assessor Jody Paschal to sign the contract on behalf of the County.

 Housing Authority Agreement

 Next, the Commission discussed a Housing Authority agreement. Commissioner Jungermann explained that Callaway County collect PILT monies from the City of Fulton’s Housing Authority. These monies are supposed to be payable to all taxing entities. However, the City of Fulton has been accidentally left out of these payments over the past ten years.

The agreement in discussion outlines that Callaway County will pay a one-time back-payment to the City of Fulton to correct the previous oversight. Callaway County will then include the City of Fulton in all future payments in relation to the Housing Authority’s PILT disbursements. The other taxing entities involved will also need to sign an agreement to authorize the back-payment.

Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer made a motion to enter into an agreement with the City of Fulton for a one-time back-payment of PILT monies that was collected by Callaway County in the amount of $16,759.71 and to authorize Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann to sign the agreement on behalf of the County.

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst seconded the motion. All in favor… ayes have it. Court Order #79 — signed.

 

Court Order #79 — Housing Authority Agreement

 Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby enter into an agreement with the City of Fulton for a one-time back-payment of PILT monies that was collected by Callaway County in the amount of $16,759.71 and to authorize Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann to sign the agreement on behalf of the County.

 Adjourn

 Ordered that the Commission adjourn until Wednesday, August 9, 2017.
