1:00 pm The Callaway County Commissionw ill meet with Tom Rademan, of the Boone County Sewer District, in Columbia, Missouri to dicuss Millersburg sewer issues.

The Callaway County Commission met with the Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann, Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst, and Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer present.

IT Issues at Law Enforcement Center

9:30am

The Callaway County Commission met to discuss IT issues at the Callaway County Law Enforcement Center and to discuss a sewer variance. Deborah Goldman was also present for this meeting to represent the County Clerk’s office.

First, the Commission met with Wes Bond, County IT Director, to discuss IT issues at the Law Enforcement Center. Mr. Bond informed to the Commission that the Law Enforcement Center is in need of a firewall update and a main core, or switch. He explained that the switch is used for networking, bandwidth, and data flow.

Mr. Bond then presented the Commission with four quotes for the needed upgrades. The first quote was from Huber in the amount of $16,111.40. The second quote was from MicroAge in the amount of $12,190.51, but the quote did not include labor costs. The third quote was from JSC in the amount of $6,770.00. The fourth quote was from Next Level IT in the amount of $8,984.00. Mr. Bond explained that Huber, MicroAge, and Next Level IT all quoted the same type of equipment, while JSC quoted a different type of firewall, which he said he is not familiar with.

After some discussion, Mr. Bond stated that he would recommend going with the quote from Next Level IT.

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst made a motion to accept the proposal from Next Level IT in the amount of $8,984.00 for a firewall and switch at the Callaway County Law Enforcement Center.

Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer seconded the motion.

All in favor.., ayes have it. Court Order #72 — signed.

Court Order #72— Purchase Firewall & Switch from Next Level IT

Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby accept the proposal from Next Level IT in the amount of $8,984.00 for a firewall and switch at the Callaway County Law Enforcement Center.

Sewer Variance

The Commission then met with Kent Wood, County Environmental Public Health, to discuss a sewer variance. Mr. Wood explained that he received a request from Dale and Janet Gruer for a 40-foot variance for an existing wastewater lagoon on their property. The Gruer’s neighbor has agreed to the variance.

Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer made a motion to award a sewer variance to Dale and Janet Gruer per Kent Wood’s recommendation.

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst seconded the motion. All in favor… ayes have it. Court Order #73 — signed.

Court Order #73 — Sewer Variance for Dale & Janet Gruer

Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby accept the sewer variance for Dale and Janet Gruer, owner of property 1200 County Road 263 in Auxvasse, Missouri.

The recommendation of a 40-foot variance along the eastern property line for an existing wastewater lagoon system will bring this property into compliance with the Callaway County Ordinance 701.

Millersburg Sewer Issues

The Callaway County Commission met with Tom Rademan with the Boone County Sewer District to discuss Millersburg sewer issues in Columbia, Missouri.
