9:00am The Callaway County Commission will meet with the Johnson Grass board.
11:00am The Callaway County Commission will meet to open bids 1 (office supplies) and 2 (printing needs).

Monday, March 20, 2017

The Callaway County Commission met with the Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann, Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst, and Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer present.

 

Business of a general nature was conducted on this day.

 

Johnson Grass Meeting

9:30am

 

The Callaway County Commission met with Steve Smart, Mark Smart, and Jay Fischer from the Johnson Grass Board and Jeff Taylor, County Road and Bridge employee, to discuss noxious weed treatment. Deb Goldman was present representing the County Clerk’s office.

 

The County sprays for noxious weeds along County roads. There is $4000 budgeted to spend on this for the 2017 year. The County is willing to have someone to spray along County roads at $12 an hour and reimburse .40 cents per mile that they drive in their own vehicle. The Johnson Grass Board will find someone to do this spraying and will get with the Commission at a later date. The weeds usually seed in July or August and it is good to spray before then.

 

Open Bids #1&2

11:00am

 

The Callaway County Commission met to open bids 1 (Office Supplies) and 2 (Printing Needs). Deb Goldman was present representing the County Clerk’s office.

 

There were three bids received for bid #1 and four bids received for bid #2. A spreadsheet comparing bids will be compiled and the Commission will reconvene next week to award the bids.

 

Adjourn

 

Ordered that the Commission adjourn until Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
