First, Mrs. Lynch discussed some things at the Health Department. A grant is becoming available to set up a training program for the environmental work the Health Department does that she would like to get involved with. She is thinking about switching to a new vaccine company. This company will provide the Health Department with all vaccinations at no cost and bill the insurance of individuals that get the vaccines. They will also pay the Health Department a fee anywhere from $10- $40 for administering the vaccines. There is a new prescription drug monitoring program coming available that Mrs. Lynch would like to be a part of, it will cost the County about $411 a year.

Next, the new credit card machines were discussed. The current machines at the Health Department do not have the chip reader and without that the County is liable for any fraud that occurs. There are two machines that need to be upgraded to have the chip reader. Central Bank can get us those for $250 each plus the monthly fees. Currently the monthly fees range between $60- $70.

Eastern District Commissioner Kleindienst made a motion to enter into an agreement with Central Bank to purchase two new credit card machines at $250 each and authorizes Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann to sign any necessary documents on behalf of the County.

Western District Commissioner Fischer seconded the motion. All in favor…ayes have it. Court Order #14 signed.

Last, the Commission discussed the payment date of credit cards. Kari Less explained that the current payment date is the 15th business day of the month. That date can be changed to be anytime between the 1st and 15th business day of the month or someone within the County can go online and make a payment any time before the 15th business day of the month.

The group decided that a decision will be made internally about what date to pay the credit cards on.
