The Callaway County Commission met with the Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann, Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst, and Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer present.

Business of a general nature was conducted on this day.

Clarifications on 2017 Budget

The Callaway County Commission met with Karen Rentschler, County Auditor, to clarify the 2017 budget totals. Denise Hubbard was present representing the County Clerk’s Office.

On January 10, 2017 the Callaway County Commission met to reconvene the meeting to approve the 2017 budget. The original meeting was on January 6, 2017. At that meeting the expenditure total was stated as $16,747,061. Mrs. Rentschler found an error in the totals when she was preparing her supporting documents. The year 2017 had been moved over into the total column four separate times increasing the overall expenditure budget amount by $8,068. The actual expenditure amount for the 2017 budget is $16,739,256. No individual budget line
items were changed.

Eastern District Commissioner Kleindienst made a motion to adjust the final amount on the expenditures of the 2017 budget to reflect the correction from $16,747,061 to $16,739,256.

Western District Commissioner Fischer seconded the motion.

All in favor…ayes have it. Court Order # 8 signed

Court Order # 8 2017 Budget Total Clarifications

Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby adjust the overall expenditure amount of the 2017 budget from $16,747,061 to $16,739,256.


Ordered that the Commission adjourn until Friday, January 20, 2017.
