3:15pm  The Callaway County Commission will meet to discuss surplus money from 2016 Land Tax Certificate Sale, Court Order list report from the Assessor’s Office, and Central Missouri Community Action board appointments.

3:30pm The Callaway County Commission will meet to discuss a new Cooperative Agreement for Child Support Prosecution.

The Callaway County Commission met with the Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann, Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst, and Western District Commissioner Roger Fischer present.

Business of a general nature was conducted on this day.

Incoming Weather Meeting

1:30pm
Presiding Commissioner Jungermann attended a meeting about the incoming weather at the EOC meeting room in Fulton, MO.

2016 Land Tax Certificate Sale Refund

3:15pm
The Callaway County Commission met to discuss issuing refunds from the 2016 Land Tax Certificate Sale, December Court Order List Report from the Assessor’s Office, and the Central Missouri Community Action Board appointment. Denise Hubbard was present representing the County Clerk’s Office.

Silver Springs Farm LLC needs to be refunded $402.66 and Katherine Nolting needs to be refunded $371.98 because the owner redeemed the property.

Eastern District Commissioner Kleindienst made a motion to authorize Debbie Zerr, County Treasurer, to refund $402.66 to Pam Oestreich, County Collector. This is tax sale surplus money that was turned over to the County Treasurer on August 24, 2016 (Receipt #160673) as unclaimed surplus from the 2016 Land Tax Certificate Sale. This surplus is for Silver Spring Farms LLC. The owner, Thomas E. & Elaina S. Wallace, has redeemed the property and the surplus from the sale is needed to complete the transaction.

Western District Commissioner Fischer seconded the motion. All in favor… ayes have it. Court Order # 3 signed.

Court Order # 3 2016 Land Tax Certificate Sale Refund

Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby authorize Debbie Zerr, County Treasurer, to refund $402.66 to Pam Oestreich, County Collector.
This is tax sale surplus money that was turned over to the County Treasurer on August 24, 2016 (Receipt #160673) as unclaimed surplus from the 2016 Land Tax Certificate Sale.

Second Land Tax Certificate Sale Refund

This surplus is for Silver Spring Farms LLC. The owner, Thomas E. & Elaina S. Wallace, has redeemed the property and the surplus from the sale is needed to complete the transaction.

December Court Order List Report

The Assessor’s Office has submitted their December report on adjustments that need to be made for 2013 in the amount of a positive 7,080, for 2014 in the amount of a positive 26,340, for 2015 in the amount of a positive 944,880, and for 2016 in the amount of a positive 2,925,594.

Eastern District Commissioner Kleindienst made a motion to accept the December 2016 Court Order List Report from the County Assessor and directs the County Clerk to adjust her tax book for 2013 in the amount of a positive 7,080, for 2014 in the amount of a positive 26,340, for 2015 in the amount of a positive 944,880, and for 2016 in the amount of a positive 2,925,594. The Callaway County Commission does also hereby authorize Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann to sign the report on behalf of the County.

Court Order # 5 December Court Order List Report

Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby accept the December 2016 Court Order List Report from the County Assessor and directs the County Clerk to adjust her tax book for 2013 in the amount of a positive 7,080, for 2014 in the amount of a positive 26,340, for 2015 in the amount of a positive 944,880, and for 2016 in the amount of a positive 2,925,594. The Callaway County Commission does also hereby authorize Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann to sign the report on behalf of the County.

CMCA Board Appointment

Eastern District Commissioner Kleindienst has been on the Central Missouri Community Action board for four years and his four-year term is up. He may be appointed to a new four-year term.

Western District Commissioner Fischer made a motion to reappoint Randy Kleindienst to the Central Missouri Community Action board for the next four-year term that runs from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2020.
Eastern District Commissioner Kleindienst seconded the motion. All in favor… ayes have it. Court Order # 6 signed.

Court Order #6 CMCA Board Appointment

Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby appoint Randy Kleindienst to the Central Missouri Community Action Board as a County appointment for a four-year term, effective January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2020.

IV-D County Reimbursement Cooperative Agreement

The Callaway County Commission met with Chris Wilson, County Prosecuting Attorney, and Judy Groner, County Circuit Clerk, to discuss the IV-D County Reimbursement Cooperative Agreement. Denise Hubbard was present representing the County Clerk’s Office.

This is an agreement the County has been a part of for the past two years and is between Cole, Gasconade, Mules, and Osage Counties. Cole County has offered their attorneys for this agreement. This allows for the other counties to get child support prosecutors without any upfront costs. Cole County fronts the money and are reimbursed by the feds.

Eastern District Commissioner Kleindienst made a motion for the Callaway County Commission to accept the new two-year contract with IV-D County Reimbursement Cooperative Agreement serving the counties of Callaway, Cole, Gasconade, Maries, and Osage for January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2019 and authorizes Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann; Chris Wilson, County Prosecuting Attorney; and Judy Groner, County Circuit Clerk, to sign on behalf of the County.

Western District Commissioner Fischer seconded the motion.

All in favor.., ayes have it. Court Order #7 signed.

Court Order #7 IV-D County Reimbursement Cooperative Agreement

Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby accept the new two-year contract with IV-D County Reimbursement Cooperative Agreement serving the counties of Callaway, Cole, Gasconade, Maries, and Osage for January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2019 and authorizes Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann; Chris Wilson, County Prosecuting Attorney; and Judy Groner, County Circuit Clerk, to sign on behalf of the County.
