Joint Cooperative Agreement
The Callaway County Commission met with Chris Wilson, County Prosecuting Attorney, and Judy Groner, County Circuit Clerk, to discuss a Joint Cooperative Agreement. A representative from the County Clerk’s office was not present for this meeting.
Mr. Wilson began by explaining that Callaway County is a part of a five-County cooperative agreement for child support prosecution. He said that Cole County fronts the money for each of the five Counties involved and requests reimbursement from the Federal government. This allows the other four counties to avoid the federal reimbursement process. Mr. Wilson said that this agreement has been extremely beneficial for Callaway County.
Mr. Wilson then explained that there has been an amendment to the current agreement regarding the indirect cost rate, which has to do with the federal reimbursement. Because Callaway County longer has to request reimbursement from the federal government, this amendment will not affect Callaway County.
Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst made a motion to approve the amendment on the IV-D County Reimbursement Cooperative Agreement regarding the indirect cost rate, effective January 1. 2016 through December 31, 2016, and to authorize Circuit Clerk Judy Goner, Prosecuting Attorney Chris Wilson, and Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann to sign the amendment on behalf of the County.
Presiding Commission Gary Jungermann seconded the motion.
