Wednesday, April 20, 2016

 

The Callaway County Commission met with the Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann, Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst, and Western District Commissioner Donald Kritzer present.

 

CAMPO Meeting

 

12:15pm

Western District Commissioner Donald Kritzer attended a CAMPO (Capitol Area Metropolitan Planning Organization) meeting in Jefferson City, Missouri.

 

Sewer Variance

 

3:00pm

The Callaway County Commission met to discuss a sewer variance, personnel policy revision, surplus property, and appointments to the Mid-Missouri Solid Waste Management District council. Deborah Goldman was also present for this meeting to represent the County Clerk’s office.

 

Mylene Dunn, County Environmental Public Health, was present for the discussion regarding the sewer variance.  Patricia Kirk, owner of property 7599 County Road 428 in Fulton, Missouri, is requesting a sewer variance along her western property line in order to construct a wastewater lagoon.  The neighbor on the western side has agreed to the variance.

 

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst made a motion to accept a sewer variance for Patricia Kirk, owner of property 7599 County Road 428 in Fulton, Missouri.  This is a 45-foot variance along the western property line for the construction of a wastewater lagoon to bring this property into compliance with Callaway County Ordinance 701.

 

Western District Commissioner Donald Kritzer seconded the motion.

 

All in favor…ayes have it. Court Order #44 – signed.

 

Court Order #44 – Sewer Variance for Patricia Kirk

 

Now on this day, The Callaway County Commission does hereby accept the sewer variance for Patricia Kirk, owner of property 7599 County Road 428 in Fulton, Missouri.

 

The recommendation of a 45-foot variance along the western property line for the construction of a wastewater lagoon to bring this property into compliance with Callaway County Ordinance 701.

 

Appointments to MMSWMD Council

Next, the Commission discussed appointments to the Mid-Missouri Solid Waste Management District council.  Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann and County Environmentalist Kent Wood have both served on this council for several years and both are willing to remain on the council.

 

Western District Commissioner Donald Kritzer made a motion to reappoint Kent Wood and Gary Jungermann to the Mid-Missouri Solid Waste Management District to represent Callaway County, effective until December 31, 2018.

 

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst seconded the motion.

 

All in favor…ayes have it. Court Order #45 – signed.

Court Order #45 – Appointments to MMSWMD Council

 

Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby reappoint Kent Wood, County Environmental Public Health, and Gary Jungermann, Presiding Commissioner, to the Mid-Missouri Solid Waste Management District Council to represent Callaway County effective through December 31, 2018.

 

Surplus Property

 

The Commission then discussed a piece of surplus property from the Commissioner’s office.  A Mita copier in the Commissioner’s office is no longer working and needs to be disposed of as junk.

 

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst made a motion to declare the following as surplus property, to be disposed of as junk: Tag #3107, Mita copier from the Commission’s office.

 

Western District Commissioner Donald Kritzer seconded the motion.

 

All in favor…ayes have it. Court Order #46 – signed.

Now on this day, the Callaway County Commission does hereby declare the following as surplus property, to be disposed of as junk:

Revisions to Personnel Policies

 

Finally, the Commission discussed revisions to County personnel policies.  The Commission has previously with Marilyn Bartley, County Human Resources Director, to discuss changes to existing policies.  First, the Commission decided to reduce the mileage reimbursement rate from $0.475 to $0.40 due to the significant decrease in fuel prices since the rate was set.  Also, the Commission wanted to clarify various sections within the policy manual that define part-time employees and benefits.  The Commission reviewed the drafted policy changes.

 

Eastern District Commissioner Randy Kleindienst made a motion to accept the revision so the mileage reimbursement policy, found in sections 7.3 and 7.4.

 

Western District Commissioner Donald Kritzer seconded the motion.

 

All in favor…ayes have it.
